Allowed use
You may read, watch, search, cite, and share links to public Defeat History pages for personal, educational, research, classroom, commentary, and journalistic purposes, subject to these terms and applicable law.
Educational content, not official authority
Defeat History publishes documentary storytelling, research summaries, timeline signals, artifact notes, source trails, visual explainers, and Field Desk updates. It is not a university, museum, legal authority, archive owner, or official government source.
Corrections and uncertainty
History is evidence-based and sometimes contested. Defeat History may revise pages, dates, captions, labels, interpretations, and sources when better evidence appears. Date precision, evidence status, reconstruction labels, provenance notes, and corrections are part of the site, not side notes.
Site content and fair use
Original Defeat History text, page design, branding, graphics, compilations, and created media are protected unless stated otherwise. Some images, artifact records, quotations, maps, museum records, documents, videos, and third-party materials may belong to their respective owners or be used under license, public domain status, fair use, educational use, or attribution rules.
Automated access
Do not overload, scrape abusively, bypass technical controls, copy large portions of the site for competing databases, mine contact forms, inject spam, or use the site in ways that harm availability, security, creators, sources, museums, contributors, or visitors.
Commerce if reactivated
Store, cart, checkout, membership, donation, or product features may be added or restored later. Any purchase or payment terms shown at checkout will control that transaction. Inactive store routes do not create an offer to sell.
Limitations
Use the site at your own discretion. Defeat History is provided for educational and informational purposes without warranties that every item is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a specific purpose.
